C Hobbs Plumbing and Heating Limited is a Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating company working across Harpenden, St Albans and Luton, and out into the wider Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire area. Craig Hobbs has been on the tools for 21 years, starting with bathroom installation, moving into gas and heating, then running sites for a large plumbing firm before setting up on his own. Today the team is five plumbers and heating engineers, which is big enough to reach most jobs the same day and small enough that you deal with the people doing the work.

Most of what we do is heating: boiler installation and replacement as a Worcester approved installer, annual boiler servicing and gas certification, central heating upgrades, and air source heat pumps for homeowners moving away from gas or oil. We are Worcester heat pump qualified, so a renewable system is designed properly around your radiators, cylinder and hot water demand rather than fitted and hoped for. Where a heat pump is not right for your property, we will say so and price the sensible alternative instead.

Alongside the heating work we handle the full range of plumbing: bathroom installations managed from strip-out to final seal, leaks and burst pipes, taps, toilets, cylinders and pumps, and power flushing for systems that have silted up and left radiators cold at the bottom. Gas works such as cooker and hob connections, pipework alterations and gas safety checks are all carried out under Gas Safe registration 620784.
